The walk is fairly difficult with lots of clambering up and down rocky pathways although the Island council have cut steps in some places.
Starting at Santo Tomas head west along the coastal path [2-3 minutes] and on to Binigaus. This is where the main walk starts, from the rear of the beach keep heading west along a very well marked path.
It should take you around 1 hour 45 minutes with the occasional stop for photography and a drink. The pathway follows very closely the rock waters edge so shade from the sun is sparse in places. It is very well marked with "arrow posts" every few meters and red paint on trees, so there is little chance of getting lost.
At the end you will be rewarded with the possibility of being the only souls on one of Menorca's great natural untouched beaches.
What to take:
Good walking shoes, sun hat, sun cream, a large bottle of water and as the round trip, including a rest and swim on Cala Escorxada, will take 3 hours up, a picnic and towel.
When you arrive at Cala Escorxada Cala Fustam only look to be a further 12-20 minutes walk, although on the day we didn't have time to visit it, next time we will.
