Driving offences.

Post by billmccan » June 5th, 2019, 7:34 pm

Hi all, I was going through a Facebook page for motorhomes and found this

about fines that were being dished out for driving offences. I was wondering is it as bad as this in Menorca.

Most have a counterpart in the UK, mostly common sense really, but ....

One that I've never seen mentioned and you should bear this in mind if it effects you is Glasses. If you need glasses to drive you must have a spare pair in the car at all times

Just keep any old pair of reading specs in the car, the police can't check whether the prescription is your or not.

Apart from glasses you need to be aware of, no driving with arms out of windows all passengers in the car, no riding with the passengers feet on the dashboard ,no driving without a top on ,no driving in flip flops and there are numerous other little things to bear in mind whilst driving in Spain including Menorca
But it boils down to how the Guardia are feeling at that moment after watching the performance of the tourists ignoring speed limits traffic signs and suddenly stopping in traffic however get a jobsworth and the fine can and will be eyewatering
