Forest fire

Forest fire this morning opposite Coves Noves. Many people moved from nearby properties.

They are thinking it was caused by boys lighting a firework in the grassy area opposite the Aquamarina. Everyone was evacuated but, once it was under control they were allowed back in. No-one hurt, thank goodness!

Thanks for the update, the pics I saw on Facebook looked scary. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

Sad news indeed. Does anyone know how close to Na Macaret it got, and did any properties get damaged.

Na Macaret was cut off for a while, I understand from a friend of a friend whose mother lives there. I heard one property had been destroyed, but couldn't tell you if that was in Macaret or elsewhere nearby.

I found aerial photo on Majorca Bulletin. Looks like the house right in middle of fire would have been damaged.
