Day to day how to?

Post by pc.hc@tesco.net » January 19th, 2019, 3:37 pm

Hi everyone.

We have a holiday home, when and how do you have to sign up to the town hall?

When we bought our property, it already had a tourist license.

The day after completion, our solicitor arranged for the tourist license to transfer.

They do expire and need renewing (ours had expired in 2016), but wasn’t a problem and is transferred into our name.

One thing that surprised me (although I suppose shouldn’t have), is that on the tourist license application the town hall wants to know who is renting the property, eg Airbnb, ownersdirect, bookings, VM, Redorka etc. It’s quite clear that they are really tightening up to ensure that they see the taxable income from the rent, which is a good thing.

HI

Take your Title Deeds and passport to the town hall as soon as humanly possible. You're supposed to register within 2 months of buying your property and I think you've had it a lot longer than that. Usually your Abogado sorts it out, but it doesn't appear this was the case.

I've posted some other info on the Home Ownership thread.
