DINGHY SAILING/CREWING/DINGHY FOR SALE

Post by windywesty » December 29th, 2018, 2:50 pm

Hello
Looking forward to semi-retiring in 2019 and will be able to spend more time in Menorca... we have owned on the island for 7 years (Galdana) but recently sold and bought in Cala Llonga area.
Are any members into dinghy sailing, and if so Fornells or Mahon? Are there any sailing clubs with a range of dinghies available for rental to members, ideally Mahon port area? I know there is a club at the port near Casino but not sure if that's just for children.
Any info would be appreciated... likewise anything for sale to potter around the port area.
Thanks Paul

I did enquire about crewing a couple of years ago and was advised to go and look at the notice board in the Mahon club by the casino. I think it’s on the first floor. I never did go so can’t advise any further. I bought a used windsurfer from Wind Fornells, in Fornells. It’s a husband/wife couple that run the place and are very friendly and can give some good advice. A couple of years ago I asked if they had any small dingy’s for sale like a Topper or Laser and they said possibly at the end of the season, but I never went back at the end of the season to see them. Have a look at their website,

Or have search of the Topboats website, here’s one
