9.

Out of 10 years.

Thing is, I can see myself returning with the same ratio over the next 30 years.

Love the place.

When you go twice a year for many years, the memory gets confused with numbers ?
but then we know peeps that go even more times, each year !

Still looking for my next boat
looks like it may be a canal barge now ?

1994 - 1st time at Tony's Restaurant, just past the old Gavilanes.
Great food and views. especially at night.

Twice a year since 1994 is quite a few times, something like 42 for us :toasting:

My first visit was in 1988, usually twice a year and sometimes more (I was 20 in 1988). Wish I'd have started coming earlier than that, love the place.

My first sight of Menorca was from a cruise ship and it was love at first sight. I still watch my video of coming into Mahon harbour, it was a glorious cloudless day in October. The second time I booked a holiday at the Agamenon in Es Castell to show my husband what he had been missing all the years he went fishing in Scotland! The third time I booked a long weekend in February and as a surprise arranged to meeting an Estate Agent (unbeknown to hubby but I knew if we saw the right property he would be persuaded to buy) We saw a brand new duplex apartment overlooking Isla Del Rey, perfect, bit pricey, but much better than overlooking a salmon river in Scotland! 10 years on and innumerable times of coming to Menorca, hubby now realises that selling the Scottish home has been worth it. (He still goes fishing - just not every weekend)
My advice to anyone with small children who can afford it - buy a place in Menorca - you will not regret it.

this year will be my 8th visit to Menorca. Staying in the Ciutadella area which is the loveliest town on the island.
Here we can enjoy the peace of the island and the beauty of the beaches getting there in under an hour.
