The forecast now suggests only the possibility of a shower today or Wednesday, the rest of the week is dry, if a little breezy. Today has started dull and overcast but the temp is still 25c and the breeze is quite refreshing. Thunder is forecast for the early afternoon.

Certainly a bit more than a shower!
Thunder, Lightning, Torrential Rain, Wind and Power Cuts! Very exciting.

Glad we missed the rain, it just started as we were on the runway for the flight home.

Hehe.

I visit north Devon every month. It does rain there and being on the coast very blustery and heavily at times but not like I experienced here today.

Maybe your part of the island got off lightly.

Whilst having lunch at Binifadet the power failed 3 times and the rain was torrential. Thunder and lightning throughout the meal.

Luckily it cleared up around 4pm so I managed an 8km run before the next storm.

Cooled off post run in the now 22C pool

Well what a day Tuesday was, afternoon a thundery washout but what a show in the evening! Feel sorry for the locals having a lot of mopping up to do, but better that then what they got on the mainland. Our pub, and quite high up, got flooded but only by an inch or so, and was quickly mopped up.

Thursday the best day by far, managed to get out of the wind and have a swim in the relatively calm waters of Cala Mesquida. Good to see the bar in the village has now regular opening hours and their prices are very reasonable seeing as they have a monopoly!! :toasting:
