Top 3 Things to do, Places to Visit

Post by Michael H » February 20th, 2012, 12:06 am

What are your 3 favourite things to do, places to visit when on hols in Menorca ?
Maybe off the beaten track, or just personal favourites.
There may be some useful ideas for our holidays !

Mine, so far are
1.) Walking & biking the Cami de Cavals routes
2.) Cales Coves
3.) Seafood restaurants & boat trips in Mahon

Curious......Michael

Your favourites are so high-brow compared to mine!

1) Digging huge holes in the sand with my kids on Son Xoriguer beach
2) Sitting in the restaurant by the beach at Cala Blanca at night watching the divers (they have green lights underwater).
3) Spending an evening in Cuitadella by the harbour, having a meal, soaking up the atmosphere and watching the ferry turn in the narrow harbour!

Annie

ps. If we were allowed 4 I would have to add an evening in the Shamrock in Cala'n Bosch which has always been fun.

1. Nothing
2. Nothing
3. Nothing

OK so there are some things I like to do, but generally chilling out in Menorca is just for relaxing and doing as little as possible. Which is an exception to what I normally do when I'm away for a holiday or work.

I cant sit on my bum on a beach, or besides a pool for 2 weeks, my idea of a rest is exploring & eating :finga: :finga: :finga:

2. S'Albufera
3. A nice walk around Lithica and then on to La Vall. Heaven :prayer:

So hard to choose just 3 though even after 17 years

I like this topic so I'm making it a 'Sticky'

My three are ... in no particular order.

1, Walking the coast line with my pup, especially around Cala Estaban [cala esteve] Es Castell
2, Watching all the business owners scurrying about getting ready, painting and cleaning ready for the new season
3, Taking a coffee in the warm sunshine, people watching and taking note of the increase numbers of people as the season starts.
I claim no responsibility for the following disclaimer.
All opinions are my wife's; I have none. (In my opinion.)

What about feeding the white donkey at the back of CnP on the way to Calas Coves, give him a carrot and he will follow you for miles
I only let him think he's in charge.
