May, 28th and 29th and June, 4th and 5th Menorca will be holding a "Menorca Britannica Heritage week" Details below this post.

25th May (early afternoon) Display over Mahón harbour by Red Arrows. More information as it arrives can be found on http://www.menorcabritannia.org -> events -> 2011
26th June Open Day on the Isla del Rey, 300th Anniversary of the building of the Royal Naval Hospital.

The Red Arrows Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team Will be giving a display above the Harbour of Mahón WEDNESDAY 25th MAY (early afternoon) Get in early to get the best viewing spot.

There is a chance that Menorca Britannia will have negotiated a special vantage point overlooking the harbour for members and guests.

A partir del mes de Junio estará abierta la exposición fotográfica "Piedras y Almas" en el Hospital de la Isla del Rey (Puerto de Mahón)
la exposición evoca la vida y convivencia en el hospital en el siglo XVIII
Todos los domingos salida en el muelle de Fontanillas (Es Castell) a las 9 de la mañana (visita 9:00 a 11:00 aprox.)

A partir del mes de Juny estará oberta l'exposició fotográfica "Pedres i Animes" a l'Hospital de la Illa del Rei (Port de Maó)
L'exposició evoca la vida i convivència a l'hospital en el segle XVIII
Tots els diumenges sortida al moll de Fontanillas (Es Castell) a las 9 del matí (visita 9:00 a 11.00 aprox.)

From June will be open the photo exhibition "Stones & Souls" in Bloody Island (Port Mahón)
The exhibition evokes life and coexistence in the hospital in XVIII century
All Sundays departure from Fontanillas dock (Es Castell) at 9 am. (visit from 9:00 to 11:00 aprox.)

I've just found out that Es Migjorn Gran's band, famous for its energetic sambas and endless jaleos will be performing in Migjorn (13th July), Mercadal (14th July), Alaior (15th July), Sant Lluís (19th July) and Mahón (20th July).

These are well worth seeing if you are on the Island on these dates. I've asked for more info and will post it as soon as I receive it.

The concerts at at 21.30 hours, we're performing movie sound tracks (Ben Hur, Gladiator, The Godfather, The Jungle Book etc), with images from the films being projected on a screen behind us. Tickets cost 10 euros (children under 12 can get in for free).

Es Mercadal - Football pitch - I don't know where tickets will be available from in advance yet, sorry.
