Re: TV Football in Addaia

Hi,

Both Bar Pins and El Castillo have Sky. If you want to go fartheh afield there is Backgammon Bar in the commercial centre of Coves Noves or the Irish Bar in Arenal.

Regards,

Mike

Re: Any up to date news on Arenal

Hi Michelle, When we were out (in May) pretty much everything was open. The Japi Bar has re-opened under its original ownership but had an upstairs disco (the only night I looked in it was deserted). Apart from Kanes was closed (both the restaurant and apartments I was told) everything else seemed a...

Re: Castell playa

Hi, We have an apartment in Coves Noves and spend time in Arenal. I confess, I don't know the hotel names. However, if Castell Playa is on the sea front (as you enter Arenal) it appears to be as lively as ever. In winter 2007/08 it had some refurbishment work done. During this recent winter it has b...

Re: sa mirada and Irish Bar

Hi, We've just got back from Menorca (we have an apartment in Coves Noves). The Irish bar was already open and I asked Ken about George. It seems that he literally comes and goes. Last year he rang to say he was coming the day before he arrived and left in a similar fashion. Ken hopes he will be bac...

Re: What will happen with the Euro?

In terms of exchange rates, Nationwide are excellent. They don't, however, supply euros. We use them for money transfers to Menorca for the mortgage etc and find them excellent both in the rate and speed of transfer (typically 1 working day). In terms of where the euro is going-who knows! My wife wo...

Es Grau restaurant-They do an excellent paella (my wife claims one of the best she has had!) and mussels. Additonally, if you sit waterside, you get to feed the fish!

How long does it take to walk....

Hi Bill, It largely depends on where you start from in Arenal!! From the Alcalde restaurant l shouldn't think it would take longer than 45 minutes on the main roads (via Coves Noves and left at the roundabout). There is a beautiful walk from Punta Grossa along the cliffs which is longer but prettier...

No, these prices are inclusive!! In fairness, the Easyjet flights were booked a month ago but the Thomsons just last week. If we had more leave we'd be over more frequently at this cost.

Who paid what for their hols?

We have an apartment in Coves Noves so we're more interested in flights. We have 2 return flights from Gatwick (Easyjet) on 1st September for £57.50 each!! Our daughter flys out of Leeds Bradford on the 5th September with Thomsons for £88 return.
