Re: CRANE HAS GONE

Absolutely amazing. We were just over a week ago and there was no sign of activity. We can only hope (probably naively!) that this means they are going to do something with the unfinished apartments.

Re: Arenal update

Hi, We were over mid-May (back again in 3 weeks-hurrah). I can echo the comments made. Coves Noves was all open and was moderately busy. I did go into Bar 51, almost by accident. I met with Alex (from the Backgammon Bar, who is now running 51) and he showed us round the new bar. It was a good deal c...

Re: Irish Bar 2013

Thats good news. When we got back from Menorca, prior to Easter, it was good to see that Coves Noves ( where we have an apartment) was largely open and quite busy. There was more building at the waterpark and Tony,at El Pirata, felt that bookings for the local hotels were looking better for the comi...

Re: Anything in April?

Hi, Pirata, Flamingo and the cake shop are open in Coves Noves. The Irish Bar is planning to open more extensively for 2 weeks around Easter (it is open sporadically now). When we were there, last week, there was a fair bit of activity in terms of cleaning restaurants etc. in time for Easter opening...

Re: Agua marina refurbishment

Hi, I think that is an artists impression. We were staying in our apartment in Coves Noves last week and they were still digging footings both there and at Marina Park (although Marina Park is more developed).
Cheers,

Re: Irish Bar

Hi all,

Just back from Menorca. Ken says he should have his music licence before the season gets in full swing. We popped in for a drink a couple of times last week and it seemed reasonably steady (considering the season has not begun yet).

Re: Off season

Hi, My wife and I go out of season every year (usually last week of November and early March). We absolutely love it! We have a place in Coves Noves and love the tranquility! The upside is the peace and quiet and the ability to have beaches to ourself. We tend to use the days to explore (without the...

Re: Irish Bar

Hi, I don't have contact details but I do know that Ken (who runs the Irish Bar) also has a stake in the Corner Bar in Addaia. This may be of little help but I am back over at the end of November and plan to visit the Corner Bar-which is supposed to be open over the winter, the Irish Bar isn't. I'll...

Re: The best Resturants in Arenal D'En Castell

Thanks for the response. When we were over in July the Japi was empty. I can see why!!

Re: The best Resturants in Arenal D'En Castell

Hi all,

Has anyone tried the "new" Japi Bar? Since Kiko shut up shop we've continued to support him at the Flamingo in Coves Noves but I'd be interested to hear of anyones experience of the Japi.

Regards,

Mike
