Does anyone know if there has been much progress with the walkway, I saw an article in the local rag that the council was going to make a new path from Fort Phillipe to Es Castell to join the coastal path to Mahon. If there is any news about this walkway from a resident, I would love to know how its going. It will be good for the town and for my walk back to the hotel i use every year.

Do not take everything at face value.
This odious character may well have gone from the bar for some reason, and decided to get back at the owner to ruin his business.
