Re: Resort Developments

Good to have a recent update. I have spoken to Motin who confirms the move etc. The transformation of Boni etc is a ' do not hold yer breath ' moment I think. I agree - all those potential units when others are left empty for SO long? We have other plans this year so will not return until September ...

Re: It’s quiet around here

Apparently this will be the last season for Motin at Boni Indian Spice, who will be moving to Mahon harbour, into the premises next to Pierro restaurant and opening all year from March 2020. Sue :partyman: That is a shame. Loved a 'FID Special' but must admit, the site was much too large for him. W...

The banana boat was well and truly whizzing along the shore of Son Bou beach when we were there earlier this month, so the killjoys have obviously relented somewhat!

Re: Off-Shore Inflatable Thingy

My reliable contact at the 'ministry' confirmed all this. I hated the the thing but that does not mean I do not understand the pleasure it also gave to many others. Also notice that the sunbed areas have been limited, again it does not bother me./ I sense a touch of Menorcan mafioso here once more. ...

Re: CAR HIRE

As we approach the period whereby anything could happen Brexit wise then I for one will be getting an International license. Not exactly expensive and covers backside for the highly possible scenario that we may actually leave EU this year ( with no deal hopefully  ) WHILST I am in Menorca.

Re: Airport Pick Up

The main car park is SO cheap just put it in there and go to arrivals. Not exactly hospital UK parking rates. Yes you can collect at departures and do it free providing you are straight in then out but why bother when downstairs is really no issue?

Re: boni

I was never of fan of the Indian. Was very disappointed with service and customer care when I took some visiting friends there. Budha Open and doing their menu and had a great meal there at the end of April. Kit Kat opened just before Easter and it looked like most of the other bars and restaurants...

Re: boni

Can anyone recommend a car hire company in Son Bou itself. Not looking an airport pick up as only wanting to hire for 4 days. Thx Doncars are very good and reliable. Not the cheapest though but you get what you pay for especially with car hire. Full insurance and no hidden extras etc. peace of mind.

Re: Very quiet...............

Very informative as usual Sue but....... Nearly a grand for flights x 2 at Whitsun? Are you having a 'giraffe'? We are out next week. Originally with Monarch but easily got my money back when they went down the pan. On Squeezy jet now and even with pre-booked seats it is 'only' £320 for 2 of ...

Re: Josephs place

Same people as last year who took it over from Joseph and family? Seemed to be a lack of communication between taking orders and doing the cooking. Not just the one occasion either. Hopefully only teething issues as the 'English' fare was as good as usual. Sourcing lettuce and orange juice seemed to...
