As said the Siesta Plot across the road is the least commercial/noisy...just not sure if the annual community charges mean you for cots in BOTH plots or just yours. As said the less apartents the more you get to have a say in community plans/costs. There are also lots of older small detached villas ...

The tip is very sensible as many owners would like to hold onto a property if costs were covered. Again those without a Mortgage are in a position to offer lower long term rentals, especilally to trustworthy tennants( less complete strangers/'known entities' like Rose etc ) . There are always many factors, some less sinister like old age and childern that cannot afford/want to take on parents properties, The difficulty of tourist licenses and dont forget some may have bought properties within last 10 years with hefty mortgagees ( UK house equity drove a lot of prices up )
