Re: Budha Bar , Vincent issues?

Hi Sue

Good luck with the flights! I'm back now, as you will see from the "Flights" section. Frankly, I now wished I had just stayed put in Son Bou, but I've stuff to do here too, so can't hide forever!

Re: Son Bou Beach

Yes, the changes to the Son Bou beach are quite dramatic. However, it has recovered before and i am sure it will again...here's hoping! I'm going for a walk there this afternoon, prior to returning to UK on Saturday.

Re: Budha Bar , Vincent issues?

Well Sue, here's another update. Raining last night, but i went to the center and the only places open were Compostela and Maitai. I know Compostela doesn't have much atmosphere, but use it or lose it... I had dinner there and there were 2 other tables of two...clearly, that can't pay, but the nice ...

Re: Budha Bar , Vincent issues?

Hi Sue No I am not that Jose chap! There may be some who might like to see me in jail though! Anyway, i am still at large and enjoying life here in Menorca. On the easyjet question, I think you may be ok for a flight to PMI. It's a big market, and Tui is bringing flights from Germany into PMI from 1...

Re: Budha Bar , Vincent issues?

Well Sue, I don't think the UK quarantine regs have changed, so i guess you didn't make it over here? Compostella still open, and I believe they do hope to stay open over the Winter, but frankly there's not much happening so i wouldn't blame them if they decided to close later this month. I'm headin...

Re: Budha Bar , Vincent issues?

Both of Vincent's bars are now closed, sadly. Had a great meal at Casa Andres last friday. Compostela still open and a few other places too. The beach car park has been pretty busy the last 2 weeks, but quieter this week. Venturing to Fornells and Cafe del Nord doing good business this week-have eat...

Re: Budha Bar , Vincent issues?

Well it'll be third time lucky for me if i get to menorca in september, having had 2 trips cancelled so far. Whatever, i will get there somehow, and i will not be worrying about getting back. My intention is to return Son Bou's bars to profitability, singlehandedly! I'd appreciate some help though, ...

Re: IPTV Boxes - are they still a thing?

Thanks, Kieronf
That just clarified what I was meaning. I am a subscriber, so not illegal.
That reinforces my view that using your UK subscription service is the best option...cheap and legal and utilises the service you already pay for.

Re: IPTV Boxes - are they still a thing?

I have to question the idea that any "streaming" is illegal. The setup I use simply sends me the stuff I am already paying for by subscription in UK. My Virgin package includes Sky, netflix iPlayer YouTube etc. My internet is delivered in menorca by line-of sight and currently runs about 12-14mb. Th...
